In order to have an effective and efficient working environment, communication plays a vital role in the running of the Madressa. There are a number of established communication channels that we would like to inform you about:
Teachers Internal Communication
All Teachers E-mail group: This is where all staff members are informed of important Madressa wide communications such as any potential disruptions, changes to the timetables, as well as general weekly information. Additionally, we also encourage teachers to use this useful medium to share resources, discuss ideas and share experiences of what works well within their classrooms.
Departmental E-Mail group: Each department has their own email group, access to which is provided by their respective Head of Department. This is more internalised communication channel, where issues that are department specific can be discussed within the confines of each team. The Ladies and Gents teams have their own seperate email groups within each department.
Administrative Communication
Resources: If teachers would like use of any resources on a Sunday, such as special paper, pens, etc. these can be easily requested from our administrator by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If it important however that teachers do try and provide as much notice as possible in order for our administrator to ensure that the resources are available in good time.
General: If teachers would like to communicate directly with the Madressa administration on any matter with regards to policy, suggestions or just general concerns they may have, they are able to email in confidence This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Meetings
Whole Madressa: The Madressa administration will organise a general staff meeting at the beginning of each academic year to inform staff of the Madressa's objectives and goals for the forthcoming year. This will also be a time to point out new administrative guidelines as well as remind teachers about those that are currently in place.
Departmental Meetings: Over the course of the year, teachers will be asked to meet as a department two or three times in order to just catch up and assess how things are going as a department, and discuss where changes can be made or where new resources are required, or perhaps even just to share experiences about what has been learnt over the past few months. It is important that teachers dedicate the time to attend these meetings and support their head of department, who is after all at their service.
