PARENT PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

Please follow the instructions below. Your cooperation in following the instructions below will ensure a smooth facilitation of picking up and dropping off your children to Kenmore Park School.

DROP-OFF

  • Car Park Volunteers will be on site, positioned at Gate One and Gate Two as well as throughout the one-way route (as shown in below map) to direct traffic and avoid disruption.
  • Please note: Parents cannot use the MAIN school gate unless they are late AND advised to do so by the Car Park Volunteers. Gates One and Two will be open from 10:15am – 10:50am
  • If you are driving up Moorhouse road to drop your child, you will be directed by Car Park Volunteers to either Gate One or Gate Two in order to reduce congestion. Please follow instructions given by Car Park Volunteers as they are doing their best to ease the flow of traffic.
  • Volunteers in ORANGE Jackets will assist the traffic flow by assisting parents with children from their cars to the school gates. They can also help with holding their hands and carrying bags if parents request their assistance.
  • Class 2,3 & 4 teachers and helpers in RED Jackets will be positioned at the School Gate between 10.15 and 10.25am to take your child(ren) into the school playground where they will line up according to their classes.
  • Parents of children in Class 1 will still be required to drop their children at the classrooms.
  • At 10.25am, the teachers will take their pupils to their classrooms and after this time parents would be required to park their cars and drop their children to their classrooms. At 10.50am Gates One and Two will be locked and parents will be directed to the main gate and will be required to take their children to their classrooms.
  • You may assist your child to the playground and even stay with them until they are taken in, if you wish. However, if you do choose to do this, you must adhere to the parking rules below.
  • Parents can drop their children off outside the gate or pull up to the pavement within the drop-off zone near the gate and stop for a few minutes and allow them out, after which volunteers will then assist the children to the playground/classroom.
  • Please note: If you are dropping off your child and pulling up within the drop-off zone, you should not be stopping for no longer than a couple of minutes. The drop-off zone will be a 25m zone either side of Gates One and Two and will be marked by cones. If a Car Park Volunteer requests you to move on, please comply with the requests to help the wider parent body that is making its way to Kenmore.

PICK-UP [UPDATED 15 March 2012]

Upon review of how the collection process at Kenmore currently takes place, the Madressa has made some adjustments based on feedback from parents and staff members. Going forward the following procedure for collection will be in place effective from Sunday 18 March 2012 onwards.
  1. Parents should use the side gates only when they come to collect their children.
  2. These Gates should be opened at 12.55pm. The main entrance will only be used by Madressa staff during the collection time.
  3. Parents with children in classes 2B, 2C, 3A and 3B should use the gate on Moorhouse road and enter school from the door near that gate.
  4. Parents with children in classes 2A, 3C, 3D, 4A1, 4A2, 4B1 & 4B2 should use the gate on Warneford road gate to come into the playground and enter the school from this end. There is a staircase going up to the classes 3 & 4 from this location.
  5. Collection for children in Class 1 will remain the same.
  6. Only Parents or by parents designated people will be allowed to pick up the children. Parents are requested to complete the pick-up form that has been sent to them. Click here to download.

We appreciate that this procedure may result in more time required to collect children, however we request all parents to bear patiently with us and co-operate fully with all our volunteers.

PARKING

  • If you are going to park your car and drop your child please look to park appropriately and not within the drop-off zones outside of the gates. Please be considerate not to block driveways, or park on double yellow lines. Please obey all road regulations of the area, as well as the advice and instructions given by the volunteers.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Volunteers in YELLOW jackets are Car Park Volunteers assisting the one-way drop-off and pick-up system
  • Volunteers in ORANGE jackets are those that will assist you and your children from the car to the school gates
  1. If you are dropping your children to the gate, please make sure you handover your child to a class 2,3,4 helper in a RED jacket who will take them to  their class lines in the playground.
  • Volunteers in RED jackets are teachers and volunteers on the playground and in the classrooms.
