SIM Cares & Ramadhan Qiraa-'a-thon

'SIM Cares' is a new initiative at the Madressa with the aim to allow a space within the structure to practically apply the lessons of Sadaqa, Muslim Brotherhood, Serving the Ummah, Generosity, and so on, learned within the core subjects.

As the month of Ramadhan approaches, the first SIM Care Project will be a Ramadhan Qiraa-'a-thon.

SIM Cares will be working closely with the Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS), with the aim to raise funds for Sadr City, one of Iraq's most deprived Shia cities.

This will encourage students to maximise the spiritual blessings of the Holy Month whilst raising funds to support orphan education in this poverty-wracked, conflict-ridden city.

Please pray that the sponsored Ramadhan Qiraa-'a-thon 2007 succeeds in its 2 aims:

1. Increased love for and recitation of the Holy Qur'an
2. Improving the future of at least a few of Iraq's innocent children
