Note 1: As part of our ongoing efforts to further enhance the recitation levels of the Holy Book, and following the 2007 pilot scheme, the Quran department will continue dedicating the 2010 Quran lessons to recitation only.

The idea is to conduct an intensive drive with a view to enhance our students' Quran recitation skills across the board and with the objective to lift the majority of the students to a fluent level. To achieve this, a specially tailored manual/system/method has been incorporated and has been rolled out at the outset of 2008.

Note 2: Fiqh (Ilmul Ahkam or laws of religion/ Fur e Deen) is the most important thing after belief in Allah, the Prophets and the Imams. (Ilmul Aqaid or beliefs/ Usool e Deen). This life is a transit in our ultimate destination to heaven or hell. This present life is a test period to judge who obeys the orders of Allah and who does not.

In order to ensure we remain within the bounds of Islamic actions it is necessary that we acquaint ourselves with all the obligatory aspects of fiqh. It is through this study we strive to gain the Pleasure of Allah(SWT) in every act we undertake.

Salat is the most important and a complete system of worship in Islam. Hadith of the Holy Prophet explains this completely: "If Salat is accepted by Allah, all good deeds will be accepted, and if Salat is rejected, all good deeds will be rejected."

Both Quran and Ahadeeth emphasise that the salat must be given top priority in our daily life. Hence our Fiqh syllabus has been composed for boys' and girls' separately and it focuses on 'Salat' as a core package in all classes. From a Fiqh point of view, a girl becomes baligh at the age of 9 Islamic years and a boy becomes baligh at the age of 15 Islamic years. Therefore the masails of fiqh are mandatory at a different stage for both gender.

Although the content of the syllabus is the same but appear differently for boys and girls at different age level. By the end of Madressa acadamic years both boys and girls will have inshallah accomplished all topics.
