BIBI SAKINA DAY SCRIPT
NARRATOR: My dear mothers, sisters and children in Islam. Assalaam alaikum. Today we are gathered here to remember our little Princess of Islam..Bibi Sakina(a.s.).
Every year we hear Majlises about how this little Princess of Imam Hussain(a.s.) sacrificed for the sake of Islam. We learn about how her great character and her beautiful akhlaq and the amazing amount of patience she had during the whole journey from Medina to kerbala, kerbala to Kufa and then to Shaam where she then found her peace.
We cry for her suffering and we do maatam for her... but children, do you think that is enough?
Today we all have put together a small script which revolves around the lives of two sisters Khadijah and Zahra, who learn that just our tears and maatam may not be enough to re-pay Bibi Sakina for the great sacrifice she made to save Islam.
SCENE 1

KHADIJAH: Five minutes mummy! I'm winning this tennis game!
ZAHRA: Yea mummy, we are just finishing this game... and I don't have to pray, im not baligh yet!
MOTHER: No, come on girls switch off the computer now and bring your musallas here. We'll all pray together. Go on and do you Wudhoo... quickly.
(The girls get up grumbling and not very happy... MOTHER lays her musalla and both girls lay their musallas on each side of mother and pray namaaz.)

KHADIJAH: I feel so bad, Muharram and Safar is over. I will miss going to the mosque.
ZAHRA: Me too, I will miss the classes and hearing about Kerbala.
MOTHER: What touched you most beta when you hear about Kerbala.
KHADIJAH & ZAHRA: Bibi Sakina!
KHADIJAH: Every time I hear about her sufferings, it really makes me cry.
ZAHRA: Yea and me too.
MOTHER: Yes she was truly a heroine! Did you know that she was a Du'a asked by Imam Hussain in namaz-e-Shab?
ZAHRA: Really? How?

PPT OF PREVIOUS HOME BACKGROUND
(curtain opens to mum with two daughters again on musalla)
MOTHER: So what else did you learn about Bibi Sakina in your evening classes?
KHADIJAH: That she used to be such a good Muslim and she never missed her prayers
ZAHRA: Yeah and she loved to recite the Holy Qur'an too at such a young age. Isn't that amazing?
MOTHER: Yes it is! You see girls you talk so proudly about how she used to pray namaz and on time and love reciting the Holy Qur'an... but do you think she would be proud of you today? When it was namaz time both of you were playing with your computer game and one said you wanted to finish the game and one said that you were not baligh..
You see Bibi Sakina was a perfect example for us. So if you truly love her you should try and be like her, by praying on time and reciting the Qur'an everyday. Use her as your role model beta. From a very young age, Bibi Sakina used to love to pray Quran and she never missed her namaaz. She had so much faith in Allah and she never complained. She always used to thank Allah for everything and sacrificed everything for the sake of Islam. The biggest sacrifice was on the day of Ashura when she let her baaba go to the battlefield of Kerbala.
It is the day of Ashoor and Imam Hussein has come to say his final goodbye to everyone.Let us all go to Kerbala on that sad tagic day and moment.

KHADIJAH: She is definitely my role model!
MOTHER: Well let me tell you something else about her. One of the best qualities of Bibi Sakina was that she was very generous and loved to share whatever she had with others.
In Kerbala, from the 7th of Muharram, Yazid's army did not allow water to be taken to Imam's camp. Bibi Sakina shared whatever little water she had with all the other children. Soon there was no water at all.
Now close your eyes and let us go to Kerbala on Ashura day...when Sakina went up to her uncle Abbas for water...not only for herself, but for all the children and baby asghar..

Then One night Bibi Sakina (A.S) was asleep and she suddenly woke up crying and started to look for her father everywhere.
