Make a bookmark to serve as a constant reminder about charity in our everyday lives
NOTE: Makes a good activity for Bibi Zainab (as) as well.
You Will Need:
- Foam sheets (cut into bookmark size)
- Wool String
- Hole Punch
- Stick-ons to decorate (can be anything, but ideal if something to do with charity, e.g. smiley faces, coins, etc)
- Template of hadith (downloadable here)
- Scissors and Glue
How To Make:
- Cut the hadith out and stick on one side of the bookmark.
- Decorate the other side with the Stick-ons.
- Punch a hole on the right hand top side of the bookmark.
- Wrap some wool string around the palm of your hand (not including your thumb) about 5 times round.
- Cut it at the same point as the beginning of the string, and then make a cut at both ends so that the pieces are loose at both ends.
- Taking a small piece of string, tie it around the middle with a secure knot.
- Thread this through the hole and then tie again from the outside, using another small piece of string.
