With only a week to go of the 'M'egg a Difference Drive', Alhamdulillah, so many of your children have come up with innovative ways to 'M'egg a difference' to the lives of those facing unimaginable hardship. So - only one more week to go in the current drive to change a child's future.
In order to inspire more to participate, we thought it would be useful to share some of the fantastic ideas the children have come up with.
Some of the students have raised money by reciting Suras for the Marhumeen of their family and friends. Even better, this has been followed up with the reading of the translation too to add to their understanding of the Holy Quran. A number of students have challenged their fathers to a penalty shoot out - where they have taken 10 shots at goal, and their fathers have agreed to contribute £1 for every goal scored! This could easily be extended to golf, cricket, tennis etc A sponsored bike ride and sponsored swim have also proven to be very successful - there are of course hundreds of other ways that we can reach out to a Muslim child in another part of the world and show that we care. Please, use this coming week to encourage and inspire your children to ensure they make the most of this opportunity to participate and in turn, instil in them the importance of consideration, selflessness and charity. May Allah (SWT) bless you all for your efforts in caring for the Muslim community and positively working to......... wait for it...... you guessed right.....M'egg a difference!!
