A new department has been set up with focus on parents in general and mothers in particular. One of the initiatives under this department is the magazine Muslim Mums which was launched earlier this year, and which has now come under the fold of SI Madrassa. Please click here for the 1st issue
One of the main aims of such a magazine would be to offer an additional Islamic viewpoint with regards to the many issues, interests and concerns that affect mothers and parents in general. With the ever-expanding popular media, many of the issues are already dealt with. However, they are addressed from viewpoints that emerge from within the cultures and influences of western non Muslim society. This magazine would tackle many of the common issues and themes but would be heavily influenced by our cultures and Islamic viewpoints.
In addition to this, the type of articles and the issues addressed would reflect the interests of the women in our community. Through the content of the magazine, the goal would be to capture and promote the maternal, intellectual, spiritual and social interests of these women.

Earlier this year, 40 of our SIM students sat their Islamic GSCE exams. Mashallah, the results were very successful, where 21 of the students scored an A*. In addition, 11 other students managed to bring home an A. SI Madressa would like to congratulate all the students for their particpation and results. We would also like to thank the parents for their support in their studies. Finally, we recognise and acknowledge the hard work and efforts put in by the teachers in preparing the students for their exams. May The Almighty grant you Tawfeeq for all your hard work.
