The Children’s Islamic Library at Dar-al-Tableegh, Harefield is now up and running.
The Children’s Islamic Library has been established to provide children with access to a wide and comprehensive range of Islamic children’s products that would normally be inaccessible due to high costs, and difficult to obtain. Our primary aim Inshallah, is to familiarise children with Islamic concepts as well as develop a love for this amazing religion through the wide range of books, toys, board games, computer games, videos, CDs and DVDs that are Alhamdulillah available today. We also have resources for young adults, as well as a section for parents, to aid in the weighty task of raising happy and successful Mini-Muslims.
Please check out our website at: www.childrensislamiclibrary.com. If you have any queries or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to email:

The Madressa's SIMCares department strives to increase awareness in our Madressa students of the suffering of Muslims around the world and to encourage them to assist the less fortunate.
SIMCares has agreed to co-operate with COEJ Relief in the latter’s Ali Asghar Water Appeal which is a project to raise funds across Madaris in Europe for improved access to clean water and better sanitation for communities in India (Gujarat and Lucknow) and East Africa in memory of the youngest martyr of Kerbala, Hazrat Ali Asghar.
The scheme will run for a period of four weeks from this Sunday 25th when sports water bottles will be distributed to boys and girls in classes 5-11 as containers for their fundraising collections.
No doubt parents will encourage your students to participate in this fundraising drive and motivate them with your ideas to try and raise more funds thereby enabling more people to benefit from this Appeal.
If you or your students have any queries concerning the scheme please address these to the Head of SIMCares, Suhail Valji in the gent’s side and Fatima Valji in the ladies.
The SI Madressa is a Sunday school that teaches over 800 students (aged 4 – 21). Our students are primarily from the London Borough of Harrow, Brent and Hertfordshire – with some even farther afield. You may be aware that the Muslims around the world have begun the month of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. For Shia Muslims, the month brings with it the commemoration and mourning of the sacrifice of Imam Husain the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), and his noble family and friends. We wanted to take the opportunity of writing to you to inform you about what some of your pupils may be going through in this month and to provide you with some information about The Day of Ashura.
This web site is the home of the Shia Ithna asheri Madressa on the internet. Its main purpose is to be a repository of religious information, teaching aids and material for anyone wanting to set up a Madressa or for any individual wanting to learn more about Islam.
